Ceillhe, Neill and Danica Matariki Sperath are travelling to the United States to attend the award presentation for the international tourism award they won recently in conjunction with the United Nations.

TIME Unlimited Tours will receive the highly prestigious Tourism Award in the US on 10th September 2010. The award presentation ceremony will take place at the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference (ESTC) in Portland, Oregon. The ESTC is North America’s largest Ecotourism Conference. Our company recently won the public vote section of the global Indigenous Tourism and Biodiversity Website Award 2010 with a huge margin ahead of all other applicants, receiving 48.2% of all votes cast worldwide. The 2nd and 3rd-placed organisations achieved 21.1% and 9.8% respectively of votes cast. The other winner comes from Lapland in Sweden and we really look forward to meeting them later today!

The Indigenous Tourism and Biodiversity Website Award 2010 is a collaborative effort between planeta.com and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity / UNEP (CBD) with the generous support of the Heidehof Foundation. It is presented to an indigenous tourism operation which has a website that promotes sustainable practices and educates visitors on cultural protocols and biodiversity conservation.
